Honors Anatomy

Summer Assignment.

 

Course Description-

Honors Anatomy and Physiology is an  18 week course in which we cover all human systems and their functions in the body.  This elective course is structured for those interested in going into the medical field.

Supplies-

A spiral notebook is required to take notes and record vocabulary as needed.  Colored pencils and highlighters are highly recommended.

Seminars-

Seminars will occur when needed.  They are not mandatory but are highly recommended as we will usually be covering not only chapter material, lab information as well as periodic graded seminar quizzes.

Grading Policy-

Students will follow the grading policies as laid out for the science department:
  1. PAK Grades:
    bulletAssignments/Notebook:                              15% of PAK Grade
    bulletLabs/Seminar Quizzes:                               35% of PAK Grade
    bulletTests:                                                             50% of PAK Grade
  2. Late Grades:
    bulletOne day late:  Maximum grade of 75 can be received
    bulletPAK and test is due in the period that the student is assigned, after
    that period the assignment is considered to be late and the one day
    late policy will be followed.
    bulletOn the day after the PAK is due, all work will be picked up and graded.
    bulletIf/when student is caught up, any unfinished work can be redone with the 75% cap
  3. Final Term Grade:
    bullet80% of Grade is taken from 9 Week Average
    bullet20% of Grade is taken from  Final Exam
