bulletCongratulations!  You made it through the first half of Chemistry.  Part 2 is an application of all the Chemistry basics you learned in Part 1.  So don't forget about formulas & names, balanced equations, moles & stoichiometry.  They will all show up in Part 2.  Keep up!
bulletTurn everything in on time!  Or how about early?  Try to finish before Christmas break!
bulletSpecific Heat of a Metal Lab accepted values
bulletlead = 0.129 J/g°C = 0.0306 cal/g°C
bulletcopper = 0.385 J/g°C = 0.086 cal/g°C

23 September 08
bulletObviously Hurricane Ike has altered our Chemistry plans.  Hopefully all is well in your part of the world.
bulletPlease check the Chemistry Calendar for revised due dates.
bulletPAK 3 is due on Thursday, September 25 in its entirety.  That means all assigned labs should be completed.
bulletPAK 4-7
bulletReg Chem - no labs are assigned.  This means your lab grade for the term will be calculated based on your lab grades from PAKs 1-3.  All other PAK work remains unchanged.
bulletPre-AP Chem - only the ChemASAP labs are assigned.  This means you will record your data on paper and write your conclusion on page 2 of you PAK.  All other PAK work remains unchanged.
bulletOur regularly scheduled labs will resume with Term 2.  Please check with your instructor if you have any questions.

bullet08 September 08
bulletPAK 3 does not have the conclusion page attached to the PAK.  Please pick one up at the front counter.
bulletIf you do not want to cut out all the "ions" for the second lab, you may choose to draw all of the "compounds" instead.  Don't forget to label all of them with names and formulas.
