The Family movie will show pictures and information of your
family. It will feature random actions controlled by the
Date object.
1. images
You'll need about 10 pictures and you will
need to prepare a smaller version sample of each original images. Find
your the images you will use and rename them pic1L.jpg,
pic2L.jpg, etc... Do all 10.
 |
In Paint
Shop Pro, open a new document, set its width and
height to 60 pixels. Save it as template. Open
one of your images,
and use the
Image / Resize to
reduce its width to 60 pixels. Then,
use the Layer Palette
to drag your image onto the template document. In
the template document, use the
JPG Optimizer to save
it as a jpg under a different name (simage1,jpg,
simage2.jpg, etc...) Do all 10. |
You'll also need a background image over
which the above images will display. It needs to have a width
of 400 and a height 375, and of good quality.
Here is the
image I used.
2. family.fla
2a. friends to family:
Open friends.fla and
File / Save As
with name family. Go to your
Scene panel and change
main friends to main family.

Go to the main family scene. The only
thing that is going to change is the
all content layer.
Lock all the layers except
all content. Then,
delete each object on the stage.

2b. library:
Even though you deleted everything on the
Stage, the
Library will still
remain cluttered with the symbols, graphics and buttons that aren't
going to be used again.
|
Open the
Library panel and
delete all the object that were only necessary for the
friends movie. When you're done, it should look like this: |
 |
2c. images:
|

|
Go to
File / Import and import all your small (10) and
background images. Delete them from the stage. They'll
still should be in your
Library though. Organize them so they are all in the folder
Graphics. |
3. background
3a. back image:
Make a new layer called back above all
content. Make sure it is under and under the control of the slidein
layer.

Drag your background image (from
the Library) on to the
back layer and position it in the right pane on the
stage. You can use the Info panel with
these X and Y coordinate setting.
When playing the movie, the slider should reveal the background
picture underneath.
